Under 11's Match Report
Sunday 29th June
Keymer Under 11's took a heavy beating from unbeaten St James despite putting in their best bowling performance of the season. All of the bowlers were more accurate then in previous weeks and this coupled with a good fielding display, led by keeper Billy White, restricted the powerful St James unit to 302 off their 20 overs.Batting was a struggle as many of the St James bowlers were faster than the Keymer boys had faced before. 13 wickets fell in the 20 overs. Only the Ben Greenfield/Ed Fairfax partnership looked comfortable scoring 18 from their 4 overs. Keymer closed on 192 and defeat by 110 runs
Man of the Match - Billy White. Excellent display behind the stumps and showed some deft deflections when batting
Under 11's Match Report
Sunday 22nd June
Keymer & Hassocks Under 11's gave a spirited performance against table topping St Peters on Sunday. After being asked to bat first Keymer posted 240 from their 20 overs. 2 partnerships flourished - Dan Panico and Jack Eastwood both played positive shots and ran well in the opening overs and then Ben Greenfield and Simon Edwards put on 27 in their 4 overs with Greenfield finding the boundary on a number of occasions.St Peters showed their batting class by picking up regular singles to keep the score ticking along despite some good ground fielding from KHCC, particularly man of the Match Eastwood, Helen Whitehead and Greenfield. St Peters eventually totalled 291 from their allotment of overs
Man of the Match - Jack Eastwood - Despite suffering from hay fever he ran well, played some nice shots, bowled straight (no wides in 2 overs) and caught a skier off the first ball of the innings. A good all round display.
